This post has been in the works for a few weeks now and I am so excited to finally share! 2017 was one of the best years in my photography career so far! I consider it to be my first full year in business and goodness, how incredible it was! To say that God has been good is an understatement!

As I was sorting through all of the images for this blog post, an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness came over me! I’m thankful for the joyful and adventurous couples who explored, took chances, trusted and welcomed me into their journey! For the photographers who took me under their wing and let me be their “buddy” on so many wedding days throughout the year! (Shoutout to All My Heart Photography, Emily Rochelle Photography, Immerse Photography and Lauren Day Photography!) And I am beyond thankful for the Lord who has led me through every step of the way! He opened doors that I never thought were possible and He introduced people into my life who have impacted me so greatly!

I tried so hard to pare all of these images down, but when you start out with over four hundred favorites it’s a little difficult! (Should you expect anything less?!) Each individual image reminds me of so many moments that were great triumphs throughout this last year. And each image represents life changing moments in the journeys of the people within them. That’s why they were so hard to narrow down. Joy and vibrancy and life are things that I just love to see and to capture! And each of these images represents those things so well! I hope you enjoy the multitude of favorites I have from my 2017 photography season! And I cannot wait to see where the journey goes in 2018!

This epic shot from Andrew and Brooke’s engagement session will forever remind me of Central Park and I think that’s why it’s one of my favorites! Who knew that we could make Dayton look like such a magical place?
