God works in some pretty great ways. I had no idea when my family stayed at an adorable farmhouse Airbnb in Charlotte, NC in March that I’d be visiting there again in August to host a styled shoot! Let me back up a little and tell ya the full story! It starts with Bansen Farms, the cute Airbnb we discovered, and the cunningness of my dad!

So! Flashback to March when my family took a trip to Charlotte for spring break! My dad found the cutest Airbnb nestled outside the city, but close enough to be convenient to the things we wanted to do! Our main goal was to visit the Billy Graham library and really just to soak up some time away from everyday life. I had planned on blogging our trip, so naturally, I had to take all the pictures of our Airbnb because it looked like it was straight out of Magnolia Magazine! Like if Joanna Gaines redid a home in Charlotte, NC, I think it would have looked a lot like what Jim and Allison created at Bansen Farms! (TAKE A LOOK!) Anyways! One afternoon, I just snapped away with my camera and that night my dad decided to send a few to Allison through the Airbnb app! She got just as excited about them as I was! Which was the beginning of our online friendship!

She got her hands on the gallery and I got a message in June asking if I’d come back down to Bansen Farms to document the finished wedding venue they’d created on the property! I agreed with a whole lot of enthusiasm and this shoot began to take shape! I went to town on a Pinterest board trying to put imagery to Allison’s vision of Bohemian Chic! And I also scoured Instagram in search of a wedding planner who could take our vision and make it a reality! The goal with having a planner was so that Allison could begin to make connections in the industry within her area, since I’m from Ohio! Discovering Madison Moseley Events was such a blessing! That gal has a gift and can really put together a vendor dream team, especially in the small timeframe I gave her! She rocked it!

After weeks of planning, the day finally came and we were able to create the magic you see below! I’m totally singing “do you believe in magic. . .” in my head right now and I’m thinking you’re going to answer “yes” as you start to scroll through these images cause, ya know, they’re sprinkled with something! Maybe fairy dust? Who knows! But I just know that all the vendors worked their own kind of magic to create so many unique elements for this day! You made the shoot fun! There wasn’t any stress or pressure, just a whole lot of people willing to serve alongside one another to create a shoot that really did fulfill all our dreams!
