University of Cincinnati’s campus is full of gorgeous architecture, lots of stone and brick and a few trees that were still green! I’ve been wanting to do a session on a campus like this for a while now, so when Zi mentioned having their engagement pictures there, I was thrilled! What’s even more special about this campus showing up in their session? Well just the fact that it connected two people who grew up worlds away from each other. Adam is from Southern Louisiana and Zi, well she’s from China! They are both outstanding pianists who are studying for their doctorates, which is what brought them to Cincinnati.

When Zi emailed me for the first time and told me all about their story, one of my first thoughts was, well how did they end up in Ohio! But I’m so thankful that they did! Adam and Zi are such a genuine couple who are hopelessly in love! They take on life together and complement one another so well, it’s beautiful to watch!

With Adam being from Souther Louisiana we were hoping that spring would show itself a little earlier, but Ohio has a mind of its own! After some wind blown hair, chilly hands and expert coat maneuvering, our session ended with some snow flurries overlooking the Cincinnati skyline. We found a little bit of green to remind us of spring and captured some of my favorite images! I just loved spending a few hours with these two as they showed us around their campus and getting to know them more! And their intimate April wedding is going to be so fun!
