UP Movie Themed Wedding at Hughes Center in Cincinnati, Ohio | Troy & Megan

The anticipation for Troy and Megan’s wedding at the Hughes Center in Hamilton, Ohio was real! At least since their UP themed engagement session at Ault Park last year! I can remember chatting with Megan for the first time at one of my favorite coffee stops and we clicked instantly! We ended up spending hours together and the conversation took a turn to life more than just the details of her wedding day! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED hearing all the little details she had already begun to put together! But, sitting there sharing life and stories over a cup of coffee trumped it all! That’s how I feel their entire experience with me went. And it really showed on their wedding day! I walked into the house where everyone was getting ready and it was like I was walking into the wedding of a good friend! Her parents knew us and you could just see the joy on Megan’s face as she rushed around prepping all the things and updating me on what was going on! It was so fun to seamlessly join in on the celebration!

Megan is a detail kind of gal! All you have to do is scroll through this post for two seconds to pick up on that! But she didn’t just choose details to include, they each meant something. The flowers in her bouquet were chosen based on the favorite colors and flowers of important people in her life. The overarching theme of their wedding day was based both on their similarities to the main characters in the movie, UP, and also the results they received on a Disney relationship quiz they’d taken a few years ago! Her bracelets were from different stages in their relationship. And the music they chose for their first dance was from the musical they were apart of when they first met!

Aside from all of the details that would make any photographer naturally swoon, the two first looks that were shared had to be another highlight of the day! Troy and Megan chose to share a first look with one another before the ceremony and it was the sweetest thing! Capturing the little glances back and forth, the way Troy was trying to take in all of Megan’s beauty and the love that can be felt through the camera lens, well you can’t compare it! Along with this first look, Megan decided to also stage one with her dad. And let me tell ya, that was such a sweet moment! Megan came around the corner to meet her dad in the hallway and you could see every emotion written on his face! Megan is an only child so this moment was really special for both of them!

The last thing we for sure need to talk about is how Troy and Megan weaved their love for Disney throughout their wedding day! If you know me at all, you know that I kind of like Disney a little, okay a lot! Not only was the wedding UP themed, but throughout the entire reception, Disney music was played! Megan and her dad danced to a song from Beauty and the Beast, Troy and his mom danced to “If I Didn’t Have You” from Monsters Inc. and the rest of the dancing throughout the night all happened to other Disney classics! So, yeah! You can just bet that I was singing along to them all! (I pride myself in how well I did!)

Like always, there are so many other things I could tell y’all about! This wedding was filled with people who welcomed us as part of the family and made the day so special for Troy and Megan! It really was a family affair and you could tell how everyone just rallied around these two in support! Troy and Megan, thanks so much for letting MD and I be a part of your wedding day!!
